.....The greatest organization since the Disciples was formed. With the leadership of Elder Watson Diggs, Kappa Alpha Nu, eventually changed to Kappa Alpha Psi, was formed. The other esteemed Founders of the Noble group are Dr. Ezra D. Alexander, Dr. Byron K. Armstrong, Atty. Henry T. Asher, Dr. Marcus P. Blakemore, Paul W. Caine, George Edmonds, Dr. Guy L. Grant, Edward G. Irvin, and John M. Lee. When it was chartered in 1911, this Fraternity is the only national Greek letter organization with its Alpha Chapter on the Indiana campus. Kappa Alpha Psi's objective is Training it's Undergraduates members for Leadership.
The Detroit Alumni Chapter was founded on April 3, 1920. Detroit Alumni is the 2nd oldest chapter in Kappa Alpha Psi, preceded only by Chicago Alumni Chapter. Detroit Alumni hosted the the National Konklave in 1927, 1938, 1948, 1958, 1982, and 1997. I joined this great fraternity and Detroit Alumni at 11:15:14 on September 28, 1996, on the line named "Katch 22". I was #4.
